S.A.F.E.R. Initiative©
This "S.A.F.E.R. Initiative"© ("Selfless Acts For Emergency Responders"©) charity program
is the ORIGINAL charity initiative that was started back in early 2015, by a group of EMS motorcycle riders who were not even a fledged chapter yet. But in anticipation of becoming a full chapter, they created a Texas non-profit corporation called "EMS Roaddocs Riding Club DFW TX" so as to start charity work.
We started our initiative as merely a "PROGRAM" to go out and show that our emergency first responders are appreciated for all of the hard work they do in our communities. A way of saying "Thank You" and to show how important they are to us. In the communities that we live, they keep us safe, by being there 24 / 7 / 365.
Our emergency responders usually see we citizens at our worst, and in some of our darkest times. But they are ALWAYS there for us!! S.A.F.E.R. Initiative© is our way of “giving back” and showing our emergency responders that they are an important part of our community. We should NEVER let them feel unappreciated.
The program consists of providing FREE water, snacks, free or affordable CPR training, PTSD flyers with suicide hotline numbers on them, etc. Those might seem like small things. But sometimes it is the small things like these gestures, that really mean a lot to first responders of all types. When you are out and about daily, please recognize these heroes and their dedication to their community.
We former members also still actively support other charity initiatives in our communities and would love to have others support them as well. By gathering public support for our initiative we hope that awareness grows and also increases the larger support from within all communities of first responders. Hopefully it allows for people to really have a better understanding of the hard work and commitment that our emergency responders provide on a daily basis. We thank you for your support in our cause!
S.A.F.E.R. Initiative©, per Texas law, was NEVER created to be a money making operation. As you can see from our photo page going back to 2015, we conducted free water drops and other charity activities. It was solely to be run as a "charity program" through a legal Texas non-profit corporation. Although the former members of the riding club and the non-profit corporation are no longer affiliated with the "National EMS Roaddocs" organization, the Texas non-profit corporation is still active and still a legal non-profit entity made up of original members who continue to serve the first responders in any way they can. The founder of the group legally owns the slogan and name they created in 2015, and has the documents to prove such that were issued to them by the U.S. Patent and Copyright Office: Registration Number: TX 8-628-727

So PLEASE....do not confuse our original "copyrighted" program with any other group that might be using a similar name and slogan.* Since we began in 2015, we have never been in any competition with nor affiliated with any other entity or group that might sound similar, as we are a non-profit corporation. Any confusion about any other entity is purely coincidental. Also, remember that a "Copyright" on a name, slogan, website or words is legally different than a "Trademark" (symbol, logo, artwork, etc.) that companies use.
